Accessibility

Our commitment to making this website usable by everyone.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

FAAES wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology. The platform we build serves public programmes, and we hold our own website to the same expectation.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We test as we build and fix problems as we find them.

What we have done

  • Keyboard access. Every link, button and form control can be reached and used with a keyboard, and a “Skip to content” link is the first thing on every page.
  • The mobile menu keeps focus inside it while it is open, closes with the Escape key, and returns focus to the menu button when it closes.
  • Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the website’s animations are switched off.
  • Structure. Pages use headings, landmarks and lists so that screen readers can navigate them, and each page has a single main heading.
  • Images. Meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative illustrations are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Forms. Every field has a visible label. If something is missing, the form says so, highlights the field and moves focus to it.

Known limitations

  • The demo request form needs JavaScript, which protects it from automated spam. If you cannot use it, email hello@faaes.ai and we will arrange your demo directly.
  • The scrolling strip of statements on the homepage and some illustrations move while motion is enabled. Setting your device to reduce motion stops them.

Feedback and help

If you find something on this website difficult to use, or need information in a different format, email hello@faaes.ai. Tell us the page and what you were trying to do. We aim to reply within two working days.

Bring us your most complicated workflow

Not the simple one. The one with the regional round, the two-stage jury, the conflict-of-interest rule, and the category that works differently from all the others.
